4G Americas has announced that LTE subscriptions passed 200 million mark worldwide in December 2013. North America accounts around 50% of this. In North America and Latin America, LTE & HSPA subscriptions grew to 417 million connections in one year ending December 2013.

SK Telecom has announced plans to build additional 1.8GHz base stations to secure nationwide coverage for its LTE and LTE-Advanced networks by the end of this year. Operator has already built a nationwide LTE network using 10MHz in the 800MHz frequency band in April, 2012.
