Munich, Germany, February 10, 2011 - Nomor Research GmbH, a leading supplier of services and software for LTE and LTE-Advanced, announced today that it will showcase its Layer2/3+ solution running on a Mindspeed Transcede T4000 EVM board at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2011 trade show in Barcelona. The demo, to be presented at Nomor’s stand (2G63 in Hall 2), will showcase the throughput performance and the live capability of Nomor’s protocol stack library.

“The step of optimizing and integrating our full-featured software into target hardware, demonstrates that our software has product grade quality” said Mirko Naumann, Product Manager. “A fully pre-integrated software package provides our customers the required time-to-market and gives vendors the freedom to focus on differentiating features as competitive advantage. Nomor’s protocol stack library is scalable, but primarily targets small cell, compact base stations for Femto/Pico environments.”

Eiko Seidel, CTO at Nomor, emphasizes that “today’s LTE infrastructure market will evolve towards much more cost-effective, compact micro-cell base stations, using the single chipset platforms. This being a challenge for existing infrastructure vendors on the one side, offers large opportunities for OEM manufacturers on the other side. The combination of, Nomor licensing such LTE base station software, offering related R&D services and being involved in cutting edge research projects in the LTE and LTE-A domain, provides our customers a complete package to offload L2/3 efforts to a trusted partner.”
