U.S. carrier Sprint today reported operating results for the first fiscal quarter of 2014, including net income of $23 million and consolidated operating income of $519 million, the highest in more than seven years. Adjusted EBITDA of $1.83 billion grew 30 percent over the prior year period.

U.S. carrier Sprint has announced new 4G LTE roaming agreements with 12 rural and regional network carriers. Along with Sprint’s previously announced amended agreement with nTelos to extend their Strategic Network Alliance through 2022, the Rural Roaming Preferred Program

U.S. carrier Sprint has announced today the availability of LTE service in 40 more markets nationwide. With this expansion, Sprint LTE is now available in 340 markets.  Newly added LTE cities include Jackson, Miss.; Milwaukee; Providence, R.I.; and Salt Lake City.

U.S. carrier Sprint announced the availability of Sprint Spark in six new markets. The newly added markets are Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio and Fort Lauderdale. Sprint Spark is designed to accommodate all of Sprint’s spectrum bands on a single device.

U.S. carrier Sprint has introduced LTE in 70 new markets, which includes Green Bay, Wis; Orlando, Fla; San Diego; and St. Louis, bringing the total number of LTE markets to 300.

U.S. mobile operator Sprint has announced improved 3G and all-new 4G LTE network, which now includes Sprint Spark, in Chicago. According to sprint, the company undertook a massive initiative to “rip and replace” equipment from its 38,000 cell sites across the country.
