U.S. carrier Sprint has introduced LTE in 70 new markets, which includes Green Bay, Wis; Orlando, Fla; San Diego; and St. Louis, bringing the total number of LTE markets to 300.
Deutsche Telekom has announced new option for its customers to surf the Internet with their smartphones at speeds of up to 100 Mbit/s. The LTE Speed option will be available for purchase from September 4 for EUR 9.95/month with all Complete Mobile rates. The data volume included in the selected rate also doubles.
Baltimore and Kansas City will have 4G LTE and upgraded 3G service by mid-2012, Sprint said today. Sprint already have announced plans to offer LTE services in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio by mid-2012.
SK Telecom has held a 4G LTE network demonstration in South Korea at its Bundang Building's LTE Test-bed and plan to introduce innovative LTE services in July 2011.
