To increase the capacity requirements in the given area, normally capacity booster cells have been installed with limited coverage like (micro/ pico/femto) cells.
With respect to the energy saving features of LTEi, these capacity booster cells can be switched off during low traffic periods and switch-on by demand of traffic. These are communicating through X2i interface.
The basic coverage is always guaranteed by the Umbrella cell (macro cell).
What is the maximum number of booster cells that can be controlled by Umbrella cell ?
what is the maximum number of eNodeBs that can be interface via X2 interface ?
