Reverse Link Interference in LTE

Does anybody have opinions on what level of external interference in the reverse link is tolerable before performance begins to degrade. Lets say there is broadband interference increasing the reverse link noise floor of the BTS by 5dB. Is that generally a performance problem?
Basically I am trying to establish a threshold whereby we can say "LTEi reverse link performance degrades when the reverse link noise floor increases beyond XdB of external interference"
