Yet, on the eve of LTE roll-outs, there is a major question yet unresolved: how voice will be part of the next generation mobile RAN technology. To help address this issue, the GSM Association (GSMA) announced that it has adopted the work of the One Voice Initiative for an IMS-based solution to Voice Over Long Term Evolution (VoLTE).
