Sprint has announced launch of its LTE services in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City and San Antonio on July 15. Sprint plans to add more markets in 2012 that will announced later this year. By the end of 2013, Sprint expects to have largely completed the build out of its all new 4G LTE nationwide network.

U.S. Cellular is launching a 4G LTE network in over 30 new markets on Monday, November 5th. The November rollout expands operator's  LTE footprint in select cities in Iowa, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Oklahoma, and brings LTE coverage in Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, New Hampshire, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia. 

Sagem Wireless and ST-Ericsson will collaborate on the development of multimode LTE/HSPA+ reference designs, devices and modules.

Verizon Wireless will launch LTE service in seven new markets and expand in 17 markets across the United States on March 15. With this, its 4G LTE network will cover 203 markets. Verizon Wireless plans to more than double the number of its 4G LTE markets, bringing the total markets to more than 400, by the end of the year.

MetroPCS Communications has expanded its 4G LTE service into the Tampa metropolitan area.
