Vodafone Australia has launched 4G LTE network in Tasmania, following successful live trials in recent weeks in West Moonah, Cambridge, New Norfolk, Warrane and Hobart Airport. 

Verizon Wireless has announced plans to roll out LTE in 28 additional markets this week, bringing 4G LTE to a total of 102 cities across the country.

T-Mobile Czech Republic plans to cover 93 percent of the population and 80% of the territory with 3G and LTE networks by the end of the year. Operator's LTE network operator will cover 51% of the population and 73% of the area by end of 2014. 

LTE is expected to claim the major share of wireless infrastructure capital spending next year as mobile carriers migrate towards it. Global capital spending on LTE technology is projected to reach $24.3 billion in 2013, nearly triple the $8.7 billion of 2012, according to IHS iSuppli report. 

MediaTek has announced MT6795, the 64-bit Octa-core LTE smartphone System on Chip (SoC) with the 2K display support. The MT6795 is targeting the premium segment, with speed of up to 2.2GHz, to hit the market.

Huawei has been recognized at the LTE World Summit 2010 in Holland for their advancements in the commercialization and research and development of LTE technology.
