U.S. Cellular plans to add LTE network in more than 3,800 additional cities and towns by the end of 2013. According to operator, currently, 61 percent of its customers have access to 4G LTE speeds and 87 percent are expected to be covered by the end of the year. 

Ireland's fixed-line and mobile telecommunications services provider eircom has signed a five-year exclusive agreement with Ericsson. The agreement will see Ericsson becoming the sole vendor for eircom’s radio access solutions for 4G LTE, 3G and 2G mobile technologies across Ireland.
