Mr. Redl, who most recently served as Country Manager for Qualcomm in Germany, will now be responsible for driving all of Altair's European business development related activities with OEMs, Mobile Network Operators and industry partners.
“Siegmund joins Altair at a time when the company is both aggressively introducing its technology in new global markets and establishing important partnerships with leading companies around the world," said Eran Eshed, Co-Founder and Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Altair Semiconductor. “His multi-disciplined background working with some of the industry’s most respected companies will serve Altair very well as we move ahead with our global growth strategy and we are honored to have someone with his experience join our team."
Redl is a graduate of Munich's University of Technology and has spent over 20 years in the Mobile Communications Industry. After having spearheaded Qualcomm’s chip business for its CDMA Technologies division in Europe, Redl served as the company's Country Manager, Germany, where he was responsible for developing and strengthening the company's business partnerships in Austria, Switzerland and the Nordic Region.
“Altair has the right combination of top-of-the-line intellectual property, a large market and an excellent growth strategy needed to become a huge commercial success," said Redl. "The European business needs to help drive that success and I look forward to using my experience to develop new lucrative markets for the company as we expand internationally."
