Dubai Internet City, UAE / Kista, Sweden – February 16, 2012 - DOVADO, the supplier of mobile broadband routers, today announced that it has now added TD-LTE support to its range of devices. The company has already added support for modems from Huawei and ZTE and plans to further invest in the TD-LTE space, adding support for additional modem models in the coming months. DOVADO is currently readying launches with various TD-LTE operators, employing bands 38 (2570-2620MHz) and 40 (2300-2400MHz), in Europe, Middle East and India.

Following the success of large scale TD-LTE trials throughout China, operators around the world are showing an increasing interest in the technology as it offers numerous benefits including: decreased hardware costs, no requirement for paired spectrum and the ability to dynamically change the uplink and downlink capacity ratio to match demand. TD-LTE networks have now been deployed worldwide in China, India, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, US, Poland, Japan and Brazil.

DOVADO allows operators to serve customers worldwide regardless of frequency or location. The company rapidly brings to market support for new modems, allowing the router to remain a constant, whereas USB modem models will come and go on a periodic basis. It has been continually adding support for the leading 4G and 3G modems and is the pioneering router supplier offering broadest support for 4G/LTE and DC-HSPA+ (42Mbps 3G) modems. As a neutral brand, DOVADO currently supports over 150 different kinds of USB modems from 20 leading industry suppliers.

“We have seen significant demand for our products amongst LTE operators as networks begin to go live,” said Thomas Axaeus, CEO of DOVADO. “Building on this and our success in the 3G world, we received a number of requests to add TD-LTE support and are proud to have managed this so quickly and efficiently – neatly illustrating the flexibility of DOVADO’s technology. We look forward to announcing deployments with a number of operators in the coming months.”

DOVADO will be in the Swedish pavilion located in Hall 2 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
