Industry Veteran Named to Run NetAmerica 4G LTE Operations Center
Dallas, TX (November 29, 2011) – NetAmerica Alliance, LLC today announced that Ely Compean has joined NetAmerica as the Vice President of SuperCenter Operations. In this role, Ely has responsibility for staffing and operating NetAmerica’s 24/7 network operations center, as well as integrating all functions and software necessary to provide world class monitoring and network management services to NetAmerica Alliance members. The SuperCenter is at the heart of the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network and is a key component of delivering and monitoring converged services in a 4G LTE network.
Ely comes to NetAmerica with more than 20 years of experience in building and running world class, mission critical networks in the telecommunications and energy industry sectors. As a key consultant in networking to the state of Texas and as Vice President of Engineering at El Paso Global Networks, he has built, scaled, and run sophisticated operations in the U.S. and abroad. His background is further complimented by years of work in solutions architecture and global systems integration, all of which will be brought to bear as he works with NetAmerica Alliance members and partners to bring 4G LTE service to rural America.
“We are very pleased to have an executive of Ely’s caliber join our team,” said Scott Donlea, EVP and Chief Operating Officer of NetAmerica. “NetAmerica provides its members with network monitoring, support, trouble ticketing, billing integration and other key services as part of our ‘network advantage services’ product suite. Ely and his team will be providing that suite of services to our members with a focus on quality and best industry practices.”
NetAmerica has joined forces with rural independent license holders, that are deploying converged 4G wireless/wireline networks, to provide business and network services including combined buying power, nationwide branding, 24/7 network monitoring, 4G network elements, applications development and other key services needed to build the converged network of the future.
