LightSquared and Aircado to Bring Wireless Broadband to “Micropolitan” Markets Across the Country
RESTON, Va. and REDMOND, Wash. – October 12, 2011 – LightSquared, a wholesale carrier building a nationwide wireless broadband network that will create consumer choice and drive industry innovation, and Aircado, the wireless broadband service provider for smaller towns and cities, have signed a wholesale agreement that will enable Aircado to deliver high-speed mobile data services to its customers across the country.
Aircado serves “micropolitan” towns and cities; areas representing 20 million people across the United States that are underserved by the larger wireless carriers. Operating on LightSquared’s nationwide network, Aircado will be able to offer its customers affordable and reliable high-speed wireless services, operating on the latest devices for use at home and on the go.
