04.03.14 - RICHARDSON, Texas-- Mavenir Systems (NYSE: MVNR), a leading provider of software-based networking solutions, today announced that it has deployed its IMS HSS-FE (Home Subscriber Server-Front End) system at T-Hrvatski Telekom (T-HT), Croatia's largest telecommunications company and a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom. The HSS enables T-HT to consolidate subscriber data on a single platform that can provide reliable IMS service delivery and enables next generation services.

Part of Mavenir’s end-to-end IMS solution, the IMS HSS-FE is a software solution based on Mavenir’s award-winning mOne® Convergence Platform, and enables the rapid and flexible deployment of next generation services like Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and Rich Communication Services (RCS). It is designed to interwork with Universal Data Repository (UDR) solutions.

“Mavenir’s suite of software-based IMS application servers provide the flexibility and innovation to accelerate time to market and lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by minimizing network impacts and reducing complexity,” said Pardeep Kohli, President and CEO, Mavenir Systems. “Within the T-HT mobile network, we are proud to support the next generation network and services for their mobile customers.”

“We are pleased to support key enhancements for our subscribers such as roaming as well as the introduction of new services for mobile customers,” said Nenad Silbar, head of core network planning at T-HT. “With Mavenir’s HSS-FE, we are continuing to meet our goal of driving innovation while reducing our CAPEX/OPEX at the same time.”

Home Subscriber Servers (HSS) are deployed in LTE/EPC and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) networks for subscriber-specific authorizations, service profiles, and preferences as well as Mobile Authentication and other HLR-like functionalities.
