SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA – 20 February, 2013 – Mobixell Networks, the world’s leading independent provider of Mobile Video Optimization and Web Acceleration Technologies, today announced it was selected to deploy its Seamless Access video optimization and Web acceleration solutions for a LTE operator in Asia.

The yet to be named mobile operator, a major player in the Asian market, understood that although LTE is touted to deliver speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G networks, their LTE customers will be consuming far more data than average 3G customers. The boost in bandwidth will encourage end users to increase data consumption to a point that would raise concerns over network congestion.

Ironically, congestion in this LTE network would impact quality of experience, which is the precise reason that customers had signed on for LTE in the first place. The network team turned to Mobixell, whose Seamless Access video optimization and Web acceleration solution offered them an effective way to control network expansion and ensure their LTE customers enjoy the mobile data experience that they are paying for. Multi-site deployments will continue throughout 2013.
