NEC Attends LTE Asia 2012 in Singapore

Tokyo & Singapore, September 10, 2012 - NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701) will outline the advantages of LTE small cell solutions for addressing challenges in spectrum, technology and the management of future wireless broadband at LTE Asia 2012, stand number 8, at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, September 18-19, 2012.

NEC will showcase its innovative market leading technology supporting its compact all-in-one LTE base station, the MB4300. In combination with iPASOLINK SX, NEC's latest microwave product for small cell backhaul, operators are able to cost-effectively roll out LTE services that maximise the performance and quality of service (QoS) for networks at the same time.

Also during the conference, one of NEC's Corporate Chief Engineers will present a paper outlining the opportunities for mobile operators that are seeking to transition from existing mobile networks towards future IT and mobile broadband services.

Day 1, 12:10-12:30, Keiichi Jay Miyahara, Corporate Chief Engineer, NEC will present, "The role of small cells in handling the mobile data explosion."
