Pinyon Selects Sequans’ Technology to Design World Class 4G LTE Mobile Broadband Devices for Worldwide Markets

Reno, Nev. USA and Paris, France, February 3, 2014 — Pinyon Technologies, a global supplier of next generation mobile wireless networking products with proprietary antenna solutions based on its patented AirWire® technology, and Sequans Communications S.A. (NYSE: SQNS), a 4G LTE chipmaker, today announced that they are collaborating to deliver multiple LTE mobile broadband product solutions to LTE service providers worldwide.  The new LTE products will be based on Sequans’ Mont Blanc LTE platform and Pinyon’s AirWire technology, which together provide powerful LTE connectivity and ultra high throughput for bandwidth-hungry applications such as real-time video streaming. The first Pinyon/Sequans product to reach the market is expected to be introduced in India in the first half of 2014 with other global markets to follow.

According to Strategy Analytics an estimated 1 billion non-handset LTE devices will deploy over the next five years and two-thirds of these, or about 650 million devices, will be single-mode LTE.
