Polaris Networks to demonstrate the NetEPC© at the 4G WORLD, Chicago
Lexington, Massachusetts, Sept 19, 2012 - Polaris Networks announced today that it would be demonstrating its carrier-grade EPC, the NetEPC©, from booth # 323 at the 4G World scheduled to be held at the McCormick Place between October 31 and November 1, 2012.
The NetEPC© has been developed by Polaris Networks and combines the MME, SGW, PGW nodes of the 3GPP defined Evolve Packet Core, into a single carrier-class platform. The NetEPC© takes into account the specific needs of smaller LTE networks, that of Tier II/III operators and Public Safety. Apart from the EPC nodes (MME, SGW, PGW), the NetEPC© also includes the HSS and PCRF functions, which helps in easier deployment and administration of the LTE Packet Core by operators.
The NetEPC© demonstration at the 4G World, will also include the NetConsole© which is the web-based OAM console for the NetEPC©.
As part of its carrier gateway portfolio, Polaris Networks would also be demonstrating the NetFem©. NetFem© is a Femtocell Gateway for LTE Networks that allows operators to concentrate traffic (both signalling and user traffic) from LTE Femto CPEs, thereby reducing load and exposure to the LTE core.
Apart from carrier-grade solutions, Polaris Networks, would also be showcasing its range of test and measurements tools for LTE, which includes Emulators, Functional Testers and EPC Load Tester. Leading vendors across the world use LTE test tools from Polaris Networks for checking conformance to 3GPP LTE specification and for pre-deployment testing. The EPC Load Tester, a recent addition to Polaris portfolio of LTE T&M Tools, enables EPC equipment vendors as well as operators deploying LTE networks to evaluate the performance and stability of LTE EPC nodes.
