Quanta Computer Launches the Patented LTE QSpot
Hangzhou, China @ GTI Workshop and Taipei, Taiwan, 2012/6/18 – Quanta Computer, a leading provider of technology products and the world’s largest manufacturer for notebook computers, launched a range of LTE terminal devices, including USB dongles, mobile routers, CPE and tablets. Quanta is offering the complete product portfolio for one-stop-shop services to customers who need the LTE terminal devices. Today, Quanta integrated its patented technology into one of its LTE terminal devices to deliver a pioneer demonstration--QSpotTM. The demonstration shows a LTE dongle that is plugged into a slave docking and functions as a LTE mobile router. QSpotTM is different from other devices which require a host docking, QSpotTM offers a better solution on cost competitiveness and flexibility for carriers and their subscribers.
The QSpotTM not only supports dongle mode and mobile router mode but also smart switch and hostless installation. With QSpotTM, carriers and end users will enjoy the benefits of lower service costs without software installation requirement and the convenience of smart switch in the dual-WAN environment.
“With Quanta’s QSpotTM, carriers can benefit from minimized subsidy on dongles, while end users only need to buy the slave docking at low costs and use the dongle with slave docking as a mobile router.
