San Jose, California, June 10, 2013 – SpiderCloud Wireless, Inc., a leading provider of scalable small cell Enterprise Radio Access Network (E-RAN) systems sold to mobile operators, today announced it has won two major industry accolades: the Small Cell Forum Industry Award 2013 for non-residential (enterprise and public access small cell) design and technology innovation and the 2013 CTIA E-Tech award for Network Infrastructure– In-Building Network.

“SpiderCloud being spotlighted by mobile industry experts and its peers reflects the rapid increase in demand for small cell systems that can scale to address the growing demands of medium to large enterprises for reliable in-building mobile coverage, capacity and services,” said Michael Gallagher, CEO of SpiderCloud Wireless. “We’re seeing the small cell market segment the way Wi-Fi did a decade ago, as scalability and manageability become must-haves for operators and business customers. SpiderCloud is pleased to be recognized for innovation and we are thankful for the continued support of Vodafone and NEC.”

The Small Cell Forum Industry Award 2013 recognizes SpiderCloud for ‘Transforming the Cellular Service Offering in Enterprises’, with its small cell system as deployed by Vodafone. “The competition among operators to win major enterprise customers is almost as significant as the challenge associated with delivering the actual service,” said Dimitris Mavrakis, the lead judge for the category and Principal Analyst for Networks, Informa Telecoms & Media. He continued: “campuses of all shapes and sizes, encased in metalized windows, normally require weeks of specialist planning and installation. Vodafone and SpiderCloud have harnessed the power of Self Optimizing Network technology to deliver a solution in a fraction of the time and cost of DAS alternatives and which use a fraction of the spectrum.”

CTIA–The Wireless Association® awarded SpiderCloud for ‘The first scalable and multi-access 3G, Wi-Fi and 4G/LTE small cell system in the Network Infrastructure’ for the ‘In-Building Network’ category. E-Tech award submissions were judged on innovation, functionality, technological importance, implementation and overall “wow” factor. Online judging for the awards categories was conducted by a panel of highly-respected industry experts, reporters and analysts.

In the fall of 2012, Wall Street Journal ranked SpiderCloud Wireless #5 in the ‘Next Big Thing’ in a report ranking the top 50 start-ups.

SpiderCloud Wireless offers a multi-access, multi-mode system with 3G, LTE/4G and dual-band Wi-Fi for reliable mobile services indoors for enterprise customers of any size, called an Enterprise Radio Access Network (E-RAN). The E-RAN system consists of a Services Node (SCSN) that can control over 100 self-organizing and multi-access small cells that can be installed rapidly in just days using an enterprise-Ethernet Local Area Network (LAN) as a managed service by a mobile operator’s network. In addition to providing reliable coverage and capacity, the SpiderCloud Services Node (SCSN) includes an Applications Programming Interface (API) that provides trusted connections to the Radio Nodes and a logical view into all devices on the E-RAN, to enable secure services to any mobile device on the network. The SCSN can also enable mobility services such as MDM, BYOD, Security, PBX and Cloud Integration – helping businesses reap all the benefits of mobility without the complexity.
