Tektronix Communications launches LTE Network Optimisation Services
LONDON, 19 June, 2013, Tektronix Communications, the world’s first agnostic full-service Telecoms Intelligence Provider (TIP), today announced the launch of its Professional Services Technology Consulting offering, designed to provide carriers with world-class optimisation solutions for the rollout of LTE networks.
Commenting on today’s announcement and the challenges presented by LTE deployments, Ken Pecot, Tektronix Communications VP of Professional Services said: “With the increasing competitive environment, there has never been a greater need for deep end-to-end insight and optimisation without losing control over OPEX and CAPEX. As LTE networks are being rapidly deployed, operators need to quickly identify and resolve customer experience issues to support adoption of LTE services, avoid churn and prevent negative brand impact.”
With LTE, this balancing act is further compounded by the increase in traffic and signalling of data rich applications. And LTE’s complex architecture presents its own unique technological challenges including circuit switch fall back (CSFB), success rate and setup time and inter-radio access technology issues for data services. Furthermore, management of multiple network equipment vendors is another source of concern where potentially one manufacturer provides the eNodeBs, the MMEs and a third the core elements.
Addressing these challenges, Tektronix Communications’ new Technology Consulting service provides NEM-agnostic, strategic end-to-end consulting services, delivered by a dedicated team of in-region consultants, focused on LTE network optimisation and customer experience improvements.
Benefits of the new Technology Consulting service include:
•Improved network performance with the most comprehensive end-to-end view available: from 2G to LTE optimisation, for both the Control and User Planes, and from handset to Core.
•Unique recommendations and reporting that uncover previously hidden issues, find root causes, and provide better understanding of subscriber behaviour and needs.
•Fast return on investment with deployment and audit concluding within weeks in most cases.
•Completely agnostic consultancy, with data and analysis that improves user experience whilst delivering CAPEX savings and OPEX efficiencies, independent of Network Equipment Manufacturer recommendations.
Pecot concludes: “We are extremely excited by today’s announcement and by the immense opportunities provided by the widespread roll out of 4G to help operators optimise their LTE networks and improve customer experience, whilst reducing OPEX & CAPEX and increasing revenues.”
