14 October 2012, Dubai, United Arab Emirates – ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a publicly-listed global provider of telecommunications equipment, network solutions and mobile devices, will exhibit its full range of Grand series handsets at this year’s ITU Telecom World 2012 and GITEX Technology Week in Dubai.
Key devices to be displayed will be the ZTE Grand Era, Grand Era LTE, Grand X V970(M) and Grand X LTE (T82), as well as various other devices. The Grand Era LTE is due to launch in Europe in Q4 2012 and in the Middle East and North Africa in the first half of 2013, with plans for the Grand X V970(M) to be available in Saudi Arabia at the end of this year.
The Grand Era LTE, running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, is the newest addition to the ZTE Grand series, one of the thinnest dual-core devices on the market. The Grand Era LTE features 1.5GHz dual core CPU, 1GB of memory and a multi-touch 4.5-inch 1280x720 Gorilla Glass display on an LTE network providing a high speed network experience. The device also offers 1780mAh battery life and ZTE’s customisable Mi-favor User Interface. This is the first time the device has been exhibited overseas.
In addition to the Grand series, ZTE will also exhibit the V790 and V889M handsets, which are already available for commercial use in the Middle East and African regions. ZTE will also exhibit the full series of ZTE LTE products including the ZTE Grand Era LTE handset; V96A LTE Tablet; ZTE MF91 LTE UFi device; ZTE MF28D home gateway; and LTE USB modems MF821 and MF823.
Mr. He Shiyou, ZTE EVP and Head of the Terminal Division said: “ZTE has a lot of customers in the Middle East and African regions and we want to continue to expand the support that we provide governments and enterprises in these areas.
“There is a wave of change in the telecommunications industry, with the rapid expansion of LTE networks in different parts of the world. ZTE is already a key player in the LTE space and we plan to continue developing more LTE enabled devices, servicing existing and new customers worldwide, as more countries roll out LTE networks.”
