  • Malaysia's communications service provider Maxis Berhad (Maxis) unveiled two 4G LTE smartphones today, the Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC One XL. These will be the first two smartphones to be activated on Maxis' LTE network. 

  • Telefónica has demonstrated transfer of voice calls from a LTE network to a 3G mobile network seamlessly and without interruption. According to operator, this handover was achieved in Germany in a test laboratory environment that accurately simulates that of a real mobile network.

  • UK's communications  company EE will switch LTE network in 27 additional towns across the country by June 2013, expanding  4G coverage to more than 65 UK towns and cities in total.

  • AT&T has turned on its 4G LTE service in Northwest and Albany, GA and Norfolk-Virginia Beach, VA, and expanded 4G LTE in parts of Philadelphia and Baltimore. Operator expended LTE network in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and Cecil County, Maryland.
