Lte/Wimax
Whether somebody can give the detailed answer to the following question: what for it is necessary to create network LTEi when already exists WiMAX? What for to invent a bicycle? Why it is necessary to spend a lump of money for development almost nothing of different analogue?
After all LTE and WiMAX use the same types of modulation, division of channels, strips of frequencies of base stations (20 MHz) and technology MIMOi. The declared speeds at WiMAX it is a little above, the architecture of a network is easier, reports are already registered also them less than in LTE.
From those materials that I managed to find, I has understood that the basic difference LTE is a compatibility with devices of standards 3G and earlier. But why in this case not to attach to base stations WiMAX the module of transformation, say, a GSM-signal in the package information and on the contrary, and similar decisions for GPRS/UMTS/CDMA/HSPA, whether if so it is necessary to provide совместимостьожет somebody to give the detailed answer to the following question: what for it is necessary to create network LTE when already exists WiMAX? LTEi/WiMAX may have some
LTEi/WiMAX may have some thing common at physical layer but it does not mean that all the upper protocol layers are same ...they have different protocol layers at access/core side ..any operator migrating from WiMAX will have to eventually put the new equipments ..backbone ...core routers may be reused but basic LTE nodes needs to be added ...
