ARQ: Automatic Repeat reQuest. A scheme whereby the receiving terminal requests retransmission of packets which are detected to be erroneous. It is used in Radio Link Control (RLC) Acknowledged Mode (AM), as well as being a
component of Hybrid ARQ (HARQ).
