- HARQ
Hybrid ARQ. The simultaneous combination of Automatic Retransmission reQuest (ARQ) and Forward Error Correction (FEC). It enables the overhead of error correction to be adapted dynamically depending on the channel qual-
ity. When HARQ is used, if the errors can be corrected by FEC then no retransmission is requested; if the errors can be detected but not corrected, a retransmission is requested.
