PAPR

Peak-to-Average Power Ratio. The ratio between the average transmit power of a signal and the maximum instantaneous transmit power. It is sometimes used as an indication of the extent of the linear region of operation that is required for the Power Amplifier (PA); however, the Cubic Metric (CM) of the signal is a more reliable predictor of the required PA characteristics.
