Polaris adds to its growing list of customers in Korea for its LTE test tools
Lexington, Massachusetts, February 25, 2013 - Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, Spain, February 25, 2013 - Today at the Mobile World Congress, Polaris Networks announced that the Polaris EPC Emulator test tools have been selected by three leading LTE Base Stations manufacturers in Korea to validate their LTE Small Cell development.
Samji Electronics, one of the three recent Korean customers, chose the Polaris EPC Emulators because not only do these test tools provide comprehensive validation of the S1 protocol functions of an LTE base station but enables complex network scenarios in the lab both for signaling and data plane transactions. The Polaris EPC Emulators is used both as a passive simulation tool, where it responds to various UE initiated procedures in an expected behavior, and also as testing tools capable of testing for abnormal or negative test scenarios. The Polaris EPC Emulator also supports various network initiated procedures as well as support for features such as ‘Closed Subscriber Group‘ (CSG), Over-the-air provisioning, which are specifically useful for testing LTE small cell or Home eNodeB.
