  • US provider C Spire Wireless will introduce 4G LTE mobile broadband services this fall. The company plans to invest $60 million to begin the roll out LTE in September in 20 Mississippi markets covering 2,700 square miles, a population of 1.2 million and more than 360 cell sites.

  • Verizon Wireless has announced HomeFusion Broadband, a new service that provides in-home wireless broadband using LTE technology. HomeFusion Broadband will be available beginning later this month in Birmingham, Ala., Dallas and Nashville, Tenn., with additional markets to follow.

  • Indian telecom service provider, Bharti Airtel has selected Nokia Siemens Networks to build and operate its TD-LTE network in Maharashtra, one of the country’s largest telecom circles. The launch of commercial TD-LTE services is planned later this year. Bharti Airtel will deploy its TD-LTE network in the 2.3 GHz frequency band.
