  • Alcatel-Lucent has announced that company will enable YooMee Africa to expand into new African market by offering TDD LTE wireless access.  YooMee Africa, previously known as 4G Africa, is a wireless broadband operator in Cameroon and owns licenses in several countries on the African continent.

  • Telecom New Zealand is launching 4G LTE network across parts of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch today.  Telecom announced last month that access to its 4G network would be free for customers with 4G-capable devices. It has also made 4G available to its prepaid customers as well for no extra cost. 

  • London, UK & Oslo, Norway - November 11th, 2013 - Cloudberry, the leader in small cells as a managed service, today announced that their new managed service offering, which makes small cells affordable for any operator, is running 100 percent on Cisco.

  • Hong Kong's operator CSL plans to further enhance its network and extend its 4G LTE coverage in MTR by the end of 2013. By the end of 2013, 1O1O and one2free customers will have access to improved 4G experience on the East Rail, West Rail and Ma On Shan lines of MTR. 

  • [Shenzhen, China, Nov7, 2013]: Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, and Polish mobile operator P4 recently announced an agreement to deploy LTE antennas as part of a nationwide mobile broadband (MBB) network rollout.

  • Nokia Solutions and Networks has launched a TD-LTE 8-pipe radio module for Band 41 spectrum. 3GPP Band 41 covers 194 MHz of LTE TDD spectrum in the 2496 MHz to 2690 MHz range. The new base station component supports up to 120 MHz of channel bandwidth and 160 Watts transmission power. 

  • Australia's Telstra has switched on its 3,000th 4G base station in Dalby Queensland today. In addition, operator has introduced the Telstra Wi-Fi 4G Advanced , a battery-powered mobile hotspot that can operate continuously for up to 10 hours and share a 4G connection with up to ten devices at once.

  • Zain Kuwait has announced plans to launch a commercial LTE-Advanced network in Kuwait in collaboration with technology partner Huawei. The rollout will see Zain Kuwait and Huawei activate over 100 LTE-A cell sites during a first phase,

  • AT&T has launched its 4G LTE service in 14 new markets across the U.S. With this expansion, AT&T 4G LTE is now live in 461 markets and covers nearly 250 million people. 

  • Alcatel-Lucent has deployed a 4G LTE network for Setar, a telecommunications service provider on the Caribbean island of Aruba. The deployment makes use of 20 MHz of spectrum in the 1800MHz frequency band.

  • UK operator EE has switched on LTE-Advanced network today. It will initially cover London’s Tech City, with companies in the area being selected to access it first. EE has selected Huawei as its technology partner for this network. The LTE-Advanced be rolled out across London throughout 2014
