  • Indian operator Bharti Airtel is likely to launch LTE services in Delhi by September, reports PTI. Operator is already offering LTE services in some other Indian Markets including Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune and Chandigarh.

  • Fleet, Hampshire, UK – 06 August, 2013 – Anite, a global leader in wireless equipment testing technology, today announced that it is first to release a flexible and comprehensive eICIC (enhanced Inter Cell Interference Coordination) enriched LTE-Advanced device testing solution, based on its Development Toolset.

  • UK operator O2 has outlined plans for launch of its 4G LTE network. O2 will switch on LTE network in London, Leeds and Bradford on 29th August, reaching up to five million people from launch. 

  • NTT DOCOMO has announced that subscribers to its LTE mobile service surpassed 15 million on July 30. Operator's LTE subscriptions reached one million in December 2011, 10 million in February this year.

  • UK regulator has announced that a four-year process to release 800MHz spectrum for 4G mobile broadband has been completed. This spectrum was previously used for broadcasting digital TV channels and by wireless audio devices.

  • Sprint's LTE service is now available in 151 markets including 41 new markets announced today. The new locations include Philadelphia; the Bronx and Brooklyn, N.Y.; Grand Rapids, Mich.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Nashville, Tenn.; Oakland, Calif.; and Portland, Ore. 

  • 29 July 2013, Shenzhen – ZTE today announced the launch of MF253, the company’s new LTE wireless router that enables 4G mobile data access for homes, retail stores and offices.

  • Vodafone New Zealand has launched 4G LTE services in parts of Wellington. Operator's LTE network is available already in parts of Auckland, Christchurch, Lake Brunner, Queenstown, Wanaka and Taupo.

  • UK's EE has launched LTE network in 10 more towns across the UK. With this expansion, LTE network now covers almost 60% of the UK population across 95 towns and cities. EE is aiming for 98% of the UK population to be covered by the end of 2014.

  • U.S. carrier Sprint has announced that its new 4G LTE network and improved 3G service will be available in two New York boroughs Bronx and Brooklyn beginning on July 30.

  • Canada's telecom operator SaskTel has completed another 13 different 4G wireless network infrastructure enhancement projects across the Saskatchewan province in June 2013 to address growing demand for network coverage and capacity.

  • Australian carrier Telstra has announced the plan to extend 4G LTE coverage to a further 200 regional towns across Australia in the next six months, including towns such as Batemans Bay (NSW), Colac (VIC), Biloela (QLD), Berri (SA), Margaret River (WA) and Latrobe (TAS).

  • A recent GSA LTE report confirms that 194 LTE networks are commercially launched in 75 countries. Overall 391 firm LTE network deployments are planned or in progress in 120 countries including existing commercial launches.

  • Canadian operator TELUS has launched its LTE wireless network in several communities over the course of the past couple of weeks. Operator opened LTE network in Manitoba for the first time with initial launch in downtown Winnipeg.
