Deutsche Telekom plans to launch a friendly user trial of LTE in 800MHz spectrum in Germany by the end of this year, reports Light Reading.

Germany's mobile spectrum auction ended today netting a total of EUR4.38 billion. This amount is considerably less than analysts had expected.
