Estonian operator EMT plans to provide LTE coverage to 95% of Estonian population by the end of 2013 and throughout the whole country by the end of 2014. EMT is currently building its 4G LTE network in the 1800MHz and 2600MHz frequency bands.

Estonian mobile service has launched 4G smartphones on its LTE Network. Operator has been already offering LTE services to modems and routers users since last two years. New Internet Package "EMT Internet Phones 4G" 4G phones will allow owners to use their phones with 4G data capability.

The mobile operator EMT has built 130 4G base stations covering almost 35 percent of the country’s population since it launched the LTE network in Estonia on December 16, 2010. During 2012, EMT will build additional 200 4G base stations. LTE will be available throughout the whole country by the end of 2014, company announced.

TeliaSonera’s subsidiary, the mobile operator EMT in Estonia,  plans to extend LTE coverage to 70 percent of the country's population.
