Verizon Wireless has launched its 4G LTE network in 14 new markets and expanded in four markets on Nov. 17.

Russia's national operator Osnova Telecom has selected Amdocs Compact Convergence to support the commercial launch of its LTE network under a managed services model. 

South Korea's operator KT has announced that the number of subscribers to its LTE and high-speed Internet services surpassed the 2 million and 8 million marks respectively. KT launched its LTE service in January and crossed 1 million mark in five months.

Verizon Wireless has announced HomeFusion Broadband, a new service that provides in-home wireless broadband using LTE technology. HomeFusion Broadband will be available beginning later this month in Birmingham, Ala., Dallas and Nashville, Tenn., with additional markets to follow.

A1 Telekom Austria is now offering LTE coverage to about one-third of the Austrians, much earlier than envisaged in the original expansion targets. Operator has announced that A1 LTE has already reached to one in three Austrians.

Three UK has announced that it plans to offer LTE services as a standard feature on all its smartphone price plans. Operator will launch LTE network later this year and will make LTE available across all existing and new price plans without customers needing to pay a premium fee to ‘upgrade’.

Malaysia's communications service provider Maxis Berhad (Maxis) unveiled two 4G LTE smartphones today, the Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC One XL. These will be the first two smartphones to be activated on Maxis' LTE network.
