LightSquared Inc. has reached a 15-year deal with Sprint to share network expansion costs and equipment, and to provide high-speed wireless service to the phone company.

Local mobile operator GTA has launched 4G LTE network in Guam. This network upgrade overlays LTE wireless technology within the northern and central areas of the island.

Verizon Wireless is introducing its 4G LTE network in 27 new markets and expanding in 44 markets on April 19. Operator claims that with this expansion, Verizon's LTE network  will cover more than two-thirds of the U.S. population in 230 markets across the United States. By the end of 2012, the Verizon Wireless plans to offer LTE in more than 400 markets.

Canada's SaskTel has started testing its 4G LTE wireless network ahead of commercial launch. A technical trial with select employees will take place immediately with commercial availability scheduled for Regina and Saskatoon, and surrounding communities, beginning early February 2013.  

Australian carrier Optus has announced its LTE rollout plans. From April 2012, Optus will deliver its first 4G LTE services to Newcastle, Port Stephens, the Hunter Valley and Lake Macquarie areas.
