AT&T has announced additional LTE markets earlier this week, operator's LTE network now covers 326 U.S. markets. According to AT&T more than 200 million people are covered by its 4G LTE network.

Russia's mobile operator Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has selected Nokia Siemens Networks for deploying FDD LTE network in the Moscow and Central Russia regions during the third quarter of 2013. The operator utilizes its 2600 MHz and 800 MHz frequency bands for increased capacity. 

Huawei has announced the successful 4G LTE TDD deployment with China Mobile atop Mount Everest, 5,200 meters above sea level. At a June 11 ceremony marking the launch of the service, China Mobile demonstrated a series of new 4G technologies to more than 200 guests

U.S. carrier T-Mobile has signed an agreement to purchase 10 MHz of Advanced Wireless Services (AWS) spectrum from U.S. Cellular for $308 million in cash. This additional spectrum will allow for an incremental roll-out of T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network coverage to new markets
