  • Huawei and South Korea's mobile operator LG Uplus have jointly completed a commercial network field trail of 3 different band Carrier Aggregation (3CC CA). LG Uplus currently has 7.5 million LTE subscribers across three commercial LTE network bandwidths of 800 MHz, 2100 MHz and 2600 MHz. 

  • 4G Americas reports that LTE connections in North America grew to 115 million subscriptions, representing 30 percent of the 387 million total mobile subscriptions in the region at the end of the first quarter of 2014.

  • Ericsson has won a deal providing an integrated Policy and Charging solution to Taiwan Mobile. Taiwan Mobile is one of the largest operators in Taiwan, offering mobile, fixed line, cable TV and broadband services.

  • Taiwan's telecom service provider Chunghwa Telecom has launched commercial 4G LTE network in the country. Operator is currently offering over 30 LTE-compatible devices and plans to increase it to over 50 in the third quarter.

  • Claro Peru has launched commercial LTE network in the country. Operator is using its existing 1,900 MHz band spectrum for the 4G service. Claro  did not acquire spectrum in the earlier 4G auction.
