Taiwan's telecom service provider Chunghwa Telecom has launched commercial 4G LTE network in the country. Operator is currently offering over 30 LTE-compatible devices and plans to increase it to over 50 in the third quarter.

Taiwan's telecom service provider Chunghwa Telecom has selected Ericsson as the consulting and systems integrator of an online charging system (OCS) and policy and charging rules function (PCRF).

Taiwan's operator, Chunghwa Telecom has picked Nokia Solutions and Networks as a supplier to its 4G LTE network, targeting a fast and smooth roll-out in 2014. In addition, the operator extended its existing contract with NSN as supplier of its 3G HSPA+ network to further increase the network capacity. 

Chunghwa Telecom Laboratories and Alcatel-Lucent have completed LTE field trial enabled by Alcatel-Lucent’s LTE solution.

Alcatel-Lucent has announced that it will cooperate with Chunghwa Telecom Laboratories (CHT-TL) to conduct an end-to-end Long Term Evolution (LTE) trial, using both the 2.6 GHz and 700 MHz bands.
