Bharti Airtel has launched LTE services in India in April, 2012 using TD-LTE.  Airtel had bagged BWA spectrum in four telecom circles Kolkata, Maharastra, Punjab and Karnataka for Rs.3,314.36 crore in 2010.

Uruguay’s communications service provider Antel has rolled out commercial 4G LTE wireless network in country in December, 2011. The initial deployment is done in the area of Punta del Este and Maldonado, then will spread to other areas.

Colombian operator UNE EPM Telecomunicaciones launched LTE services in December, 2011. Telco has awarded contract for phase one and two LTE 4G network to Huawei and Ericsson.
