Singtel and Ericsson have achieved a peak speed of 1.1 Gbps in a joint trial of a new configuration of Licensed Assisted Access (LAA) technology. Conducted in a Singtel laboratory, the trial delivered speeds that breached the 1 Gbps barrier by combining several key LTE technologies including 256 QAM, 4x4 MIMO

Singtel and Ericsson plan to jointly establish a Center of Excellence (CoE) to facilitate 5G development and deployment in Singapore. With an initial investment of 2 million Singapore Dollars over the next three years, CoE aims to spearhead the development of Singapore’s 5G mobile network infrastructure to support future Smart Nation initiatives. 

Singtel today launched a 450Mbps mobile network with the nationwide deployment of 4G LTE-Advanced service in Singapore. This speed enhancement is made possible by Singtel’s nationwide LTE network upgrade to support 256 Quadrature Amplitude Modulation, or 256 QAM.

Singtel and Ericsson plan to trial License Assisted Access (LAA), on Singtel's network starting March 2016. The trial is part of the partners' memorandum of understanding to study the future of 5G networks and its applications for both consumers and enterprises.

Singapore's operator Singtel has partnered Ericsson to trial LTE Broadcast and voice over Wi-Fi calling. The first trial of video delivery with LTE Broadcast will be at the 28th South East Asian (SEA) Games which will be held in Singapore from 5-16 June 2015. 

Ericsson, SingTel and Qualcomm have successfully demonstrated FDD / TDD Carrier Aggregation using commercial track hardware and software. The demonstration achieved 260 Mbps downlink speeds.

Singapore's mobile service provider SingTel, in collaboration with Samsung and Ericsson, has announced commercial launch of 300Mbps 4G LTE-Advanced service for smartphones. The service will be available from 23 August 2014 when SingTel launches the Samsung GALAXY S5 4G+.

Singapore's mobile operator SingTel has announced a commercial 300Mbps 4G service with the launch of the Huawei E5786 mobile MiFi device. In addition to the Huawei E5786, other LTE-Advanced enabled devices, including smartphones and tablets, will be available from SingTel in the coming months.

SingTel (Singapore Telecommunications) has launched 4G service for consumer smartphone users in Singapore.  SingTel is also introducing new Flexi and iFlexi plans with tiered data bundles from 1 July 2012 for all subscribers.
