Singapore's mobile operator SingTel has announced a commercial 300Mbps 4G service with the launch of the Huawei E5786 mobile MiFi device. In addition to the Huawei E5786, other LTE-Advanced enabled devices, including smartphones and tablets, will be available from SingTel in the coming months.

SingTel is expanding its LTE-Advanced network, including outdoor and in-building locations. Coverage is currently available at Changi Airport, Singapore Expo and the area around Bugis MRT station. Operator plans to extend LTE-Advanced coverage in the CBD, Orchard, Shenton Way and City Hall areas by the end of August. More than half of the island will be covered by the end of October and nationwide coverage is expected by the end of the first quarter of 2015. 

The Huawei MiFi device is compatible with LTE-Advanced networks and can deliver data speeds of up to 300Mbps. It will be available from 24 July from SingTel’s retail outlets and online shop at $399. Customers can also purchase it at a price of $168 with any SingTel 24-month mobile broadband plan.
