Singapore’s telecom operator SingTel has announced the launch of 4G mobile broadband service in country to offer speeds of up to 150Mbps. SingTel is offering new monthly Mobile Broadband 150  price plan at $59.90/month for 5GB data plan. 

Mobile Broadband 150 will be offered with a mobile WiFi modem from 11 May and a USB dongle modem from 18 May.

Operator is offering these speeds at outdoor locations nationwide, as well as indoor locations such as Jurong Point, Raffles City, Tampines Mall, Bishan Junction 8, Bugis Junction and Changi Airport.  SingTel is progressively deploying Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO) technology in commercial buildings to boost maximum user download speeds from 75Mbps to 150Mbps.

According to Operator, more than 300,000 customers have signed up for its 4G service since its launch in June 2012 and expects that the majority of its mobile customers will be 4G users by 2015.
