UK’s EE has launched LTE services in 12 more towns across the UK, bringing the total number of towns and cities covered by LTE network to 62. The new LTE markets are Aylesbury, Berkhamsted, Billericay, Blackpool, Brentwood, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Lytham St Annes, Marlow, Pontefract, Thame and Windsor.

AT&T has announced the launch of LTE network in 13 new markets across the US including Stockton, Topeka, Mt. Sterling, Zanesville, Coeur D'Alene, Medford-Ashland, Kirksville and Portsmouth. operator also has expanded in several existing markets. 

Vodafone UK has announced that company is increasing investment in its network this year and preparing for the launch of 4G LTE services by the late summer. Operator expects spending increase of 50% to more than £900m in the current financial year. 

U.S. Cellular is launching a 4G LTE network next month in conjunction with its partner, King Street Wireless. The LTE network will cover 25 percent of U.S. Cellular's customers. The March rollout of 4G LTE includes select cities in Iowa, Wisconsin, Maine, North Carolina, Texas and Oklahoma, including some of U.S.

Sprint claims that friday sales of HTC EVO 4G marked the largest quantity of a single phone sold in one day ever for Sprint.

Cable & Wireless Communications (trading as LIME) has completed the roll-out of its new 4G LTE network in Cayman Islands. The network was installed by Ericsson as sole supplier, covering 100% of the islands. Ericsson has also expanded LIME’s existing HSPA network, which now covers 100% of the islands. 

Rio Tinto, a international mining group, has selected Alcatel-Lucent to implement LTE technology to support its existing operations and future business needs. Alcatel-Lucent will enhance the speed and capacity of existing critical communications infrastructure for Rio Tinto in Western Australia, extending it further with LTE and fibre-optic technologies.
