iWireless, a regional wireless provider in Iowa, eastern Nebraska and western Illinois, has selected Nokia Networks to modernize it’s existing 2G and 3G network and build an end-to-end LTE infrastructure. 

Malaysian mobile service provider Maxis Berhad (Maxis) has announced the launch of Hotlink 4G, enabling prepaid LTE service for its customers.

Australia's Telstra has switched on its 3,000th 4G base station in Dalby Queensland today. In addition, operator has introduced the Telstra Wi-Fi 4G Advanced , a battery-powered mobile hotspot that can operate continuously for up to 10 hours and share a 4G connection with up to ten devices at once.

Verizon has selected Ericsson to provide networking equipment for their commercial 5G launch. Verizon will deploy the pre-standard 5G commercial radio network and the 5G Core network in select markets in second half of 2018.

TeliaSonera has launched commercial LTE network  in Lund, Sweden which became the fifth city with 4G coverage. LTE is already available in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Visby.

AT&T and Volvo Cars have entered into a new multi-year agreement to enable future Volvo vehicles in the U.S. and Canada with high speed wireless connectivity.
