US carrier T-Mobile's LTE network is now reaching more than 200 million people in 233 metros across the United States. In addition, operator also announced unlimited global data at no extra charge in 100+ countries.

AT&T has announced additional LTE markets earlier this week, operator's LTE network now covers 326 U.S. markets. According to AT&T more than 200 million people are covered by its 4G LTE network.

UK carrier EE has launched 4G LTE network in a further 18 towns across Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and England. Less than two years since launch, 4G from EE now covers over 75% of the population across 281 large towns and cities and more than 2,500 villages and small towns.

UK’s 4G spectrum auction is now under way with seven bidders who are competing to acquire new LTE frequencies. The bidders are Everything Everywhere,  HKT (UK) Company, Hutchison 3G UK, MLL Telecom, Niche Spectrum Ventures (a subsidiary of BT Group plc), Telefónica UK, and Vodafone.
