Bulgarian telecom operator Max Telecom has picked Nokia Siemens Networks as the main vendor to provide equipment for its LTE network. Operator plans to launch LTE mobile internet services in Q4 2013.

Mitsubishi Electric and NTT DOCOMO have demonstrated 5G 27Gbps and 25Gbps maximum throughputs via one mobile terminal over communication distances of 10m and 100m, respectively, using the 28GHz radio frequency.

Datang Mobile (DTM) has selected Broadcom's dual-mode TD-SCDMA/TD-LTE system-on-chip (SoC) to develop a new family of enterprise and residential small cell solutions.

Nokia Networks has been commissioned to provide its latest TD-LTE-Advanced technology to China Mobile. Operator plans to deploy one million TD-LTE base stations by the end of 2015.
