Huawei expects to double the 4G commercial networks it is building in 2011. Huawei also expects its LTE trial networks to rise to 100 in 2011 from 70 this year according to a Reuters report.

As of October, 2010, Huawei claims to be number one in the world with 18 commercial LTE contracts and more than 70 LTE trials. According to a company statement Huawei has submitted over 5,800 LTE/EPC (Evolved Packet Core) standard proposals to 3GPP and holds 270 essential LTE patents in ETSI.
