French mobile operator Bouygues Telecom plans to start trial of LTE 800 MHz band in early 2014 in several towns in mountain areas in close collaboration with the Mission France Very High Speed. 

The experiment will be free to users, and will be launched during the first quarter of 2014 and for a period of several months.

According to Bouygues Telecom, Its LTE network already covers 63% of the population, or 40 million French since beginning of this month.
