Denmark's 2.5GHz LTE Auction Results Announced

The Denmark National IT and Telecom Agency has ended the primary stage of the 2.5 GHz auction at the 5th of May 2010. Spectrum in the 2.5GHz band has been won by the all four current mobile operators in Denmark and the frequency portions awarded to each bidder is as below.

Hi3G: 2 x 10 MHz paired and 25 MHz unpaired frequencies in the 2.5 GHz frequency band.

TDC: 2 x 20 MHz paired frequencies in the 2.5 GHz frequency band.

Telenor: 2 x 20 MHz paired and 10 MHz unpaired frequencies in the 2.5 GHz frequency band.

Telia Nättjänster Norden AB: 2 x 20 MHz paired and 10 MHz unpaired frequencies in the 2.5 GHz frequency band.

In March 2010, the National IT and Telecom Agency (NITA) received applications from Hi3G Denmark ApS, TDC, Telia Nättjänster Norden AB and Telenor 

NITA had accepted the applications from all four bidders and four bidders were qualified to bid in the auction. 

The auction process will continue with the assignment round where each bidder can bid on the preferred placement in the band.

After the assignment round has ended it will be announced which blocks of frequencies each bidder has won. Further more, the license price will be announced.
